the Zoro fest-tour w/ Vicious Irene

I had an amazing week together with Vicious Irene in Germany. Me and Anna were designated drivers and did some awesome driving together. The tour started in Malmö with a show put up by Maskineriet at the local vegan pizza joint Rex. The following day we had a long boat/van ride to get to Berlin, where they were supposed to play Kastanienkeller. It was a blast! Super awesome venue, a great show together with Light Bearer and our friends from Gothenburg, Monachus. Turned into to a long night of drinking beer and peppermint shots on the roof.

The day after was spent on the same roof sunbathing, drinking coffee and solving crosswords. Until we began our trip down to Leipzig for their gig at the Zorofest. Can’t really describe it in words, but it was a fantastic festival. Anyone who haven’t been there, should go! Loads of great food, a shots machine, jukebox on the street outside, several stages for different music genres, and punk disco dancing all night long! Had a free day, which was spent mostly sleeping half of the day, until the backyard Sunday gig started further down the street and ended with a karaoke bonanza at Liwi. The Swedes pretty much took over the stage during the night and we were the last ones to leave.

The next day we were in Berlin again. This time playing at Köpi with a surprisingly cool band from Warzaw, Poland called the the Phantoms. Imagine the soundtrack to Pulp Fiction played by a bunch of polish guys with a smile on their faces. It was really good! And just the kind of music I wanted to hear a lazy monday!

The following day was LKW Badel. I can’t really emphasize how much I liked this place. It’s a wagenplatz out in the countryside of north-west Germany. Big hangars, a gig place, houses and wagons. Everybody was so happy and they cooked us one of the best meals I’ve ever had on tour. Go here if you have the possibility!!!

Last show was in Copenhagen at Ungdomshuset with P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. (U$A) and Mahash (Israel). A great show, loads of good friends, but we had to leave during the night to get the van back to Gothenburg. Either way, I had a spectacular time and couldn’t be more happy to have come along.
